You might be cringing, remembering maxi dresses from years ago when they make every woman look like she as draped in a loose sheet. These dresses are not longer so voluminous, they certainly have changed for the better. Long dresses are now glamorous, stylish, and perfectly suited to a wedding or business dinner. You will find maxi dresses with empire waists, giving you a long, lean look and making your legs look longer. Maxi dresses don’t have to have all the extra fabric to weight down your figure, many of these dresses now simply skim your curves and look very sensual.
For evening parties, look for halter or V-neck maxi dresses for a sexy look. You’ll want dresses that show some skin but they won’t be too much as your legs will be completely covered. You know the old saying; show legs or the bust, but not both as you’ll look trashy. I think you’ll find a maxi dress makes you look and feel elegant, there is no such thing as a trashy maxi dress.
